To New Beginnings

Wow! I can’t believe this is my first blog post ever. Can we just take a moment to take that in? [pause] I honestly never thought I’d have a blog of my own. I’ve always been someone who’s seeking a creative outlet to express myself and share the things I love. I know this blog will be such a great learning experience—a chance to dive deeper into the beauty world and share that journey with others.

This whole blog idea started with my desire to share my skincare experiences and my journey as a makeup beginner. Take me for example—growing up in a low-income household, one of the first “cleansers” I ever used was a soap bar called ZOTE. I later found out it wasn’t even meant for the body or face—it was for laundry! Somehow, my skin didn’t have any extreme or scary reactions (thankfully), but that experience stuck with me. I know there are so many people out there who’ve wanted to try makeup but, for various reasons, haven’t been able to.

Now, I’m in a better place financially and can finally afford a skincare routine that truly works for me. I’ve only bought two makeup products in my entire life, so I know I still have a lot to learn. But I’m not a total newbie—I grew up watching the OG beauty YouTube gurus. I loved their “everyday makeup/skincare routines” and “what’s in my bag” videos. That’s how I learned what different products do, even without owning them myself.

Through this blog, I hope to create a community where we can share tips, learn, and grow together. Let’s be friends—and don’t forget to subscribe so we can go on this beauty journey side by side! 💫
